What is Bioluminescence?
Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon in which living organisms, such as plankton and certain algae, emit light when agitated in water. This wonderful spectacle occurs in few places around the world, and the Manialtepec Lagoon is one of them. Here, in this unique ecosystem, you can see how the water glows with a neon-blue light on contact, creating a magical atmosphere.
